EAST LANSING — Mark Dantonio will not use injuries as a reason for Michigan State’s inability to close out games better or ineffectiveness on offense.
But there is no way for the 12th-year coach to avoid talking about his team’s injury list.
injuries remain the prevailing theme this season for the 19th-ranked Spartans, who defeated Central Michigan 31-20 on Saturday while playing without a number of starters and losing another in the victory.
“It would be easier not having to deal with that. But you know, I’ve never gone and made excuses,” Dantonio said on a teleconference Sunday night.
