EAST LANSING – Today was LJ Scott Day at Michigan State.
It was actually “freshman day” – several of the first-year Spartans were made available for interviews, as usual on the first day of pads in preseason camp – but Scott was the main attraction.
It may end up that the 6-foot, 233-pound running back and Le’Veon Bell ringer from Hubbard, Ohio is the only freshman who plays this season for the No. 6 Spartans. It’s also no sure thing he will have a significant role, though early indications suggest he can.
“He’s gonna be a beast,” MSU junior linebacker Riley Bullough said of Scott.
