Michigan State made a late push for Southfield A&T running back Lorenzo McCaskill when it offered him a scholarship late Tuesday night, but the three-star running back stood firm in his commitment to Cincinnati.
McCaskill had also displayed some interest in Minnesota after the hiring of former Western Michigan coach P.J. Fleck. Ultimately, former Ohio State assistant and current Cincinnati head coach Luke Fickell was able to keep the Detroit-area product.
