Live updates: Arnett scores to extend MSU lead to 24-14

Michigan State kept it rolling after a three and out from the defense, extending its lead to 24-14 just five plays later.

Connor Cook hit DeAnthony Arnett with a 25-yard touchdown pass on third-and-8 with 5:46 left in the third quarter. Arnett made a nice play, pushing off the defender and getting the ball into the corner of the end zone.

MSU strikes quickly to open second half

Michigan State found its offensive rhythm to open the second half, going 73 yards on 11 plays to move back in front of Rutgers.

LJ Scott saw his first action of the game and scored on a 1-yard run with 9:01 to play in the third quarter to give the Spartans a 17-14 lead.
