Michigan State is set to close out the non-conference portion of it season at noon today with Central Michigan (1-2) visiting Spartan Stadium.
The No. 2 Spartans are looking to head into Big Ten play unbeaten for the first time since 2010 and will do so against a team that has won three times against Michigan State, the most recent upset coming in 2009.
Fifth-year senior defensive tackle Joel Heath is injured and will only be available for emergency duty today. Fifth-year senior Lawrence Thomas moves in from the end for Heath while sophomore Demetrius Cooper starts at end.
