Michigan State got off to a quick start offensively to take an early 7-0 lead.
After Demetrius Cooper blocked a Central Michigan field-goal attempt on the opening drive of the game, Michigan State took over at its 28 and Connor Cook hit Macgarrett Kings Jr. with a 42-yard pass on the Spartans' first play.
A 14-yard run from R.J. Shelton came next and four plays later Madre London scored on a 6-yard run with 8:56 left in the first quarter.
MSU SET TO TAKE ON CMU
Michigan State is set to close out the non-conference portion of it season at noon today with Central Michigan (1-2) visiting Spartan Stadium.
