Live MSU blog: Trick play puts Hoosiers on board

The Hoosiers scored their first points late in the third quarter.

Richard Lagow connected with Ricky Jones for a gain of 57 yards on the first play of the drive. Five plays later, Mitchell Paige threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Lagow on a trick play, putting the Hoosiers on the board.

Lagow handed the ball off to Paige, on what looked like a jet sweep. Paige stopped and threw to Lagow in the flat, for the score.

After the extra point, the Spartans lead is back to seven. They are up 14-7 with less than a minute left in the quarter.
