Live blog: Michigan extends lead with Allen field goal

The Wolverines couldn't convert inside the Spartan 10 and were forced to settle for a 23-yard Kenny Allen field goal that gives Michigan a 17-10 advantage with 6:41 to play in the first half.

To start the drive, Speight stood in the pocket and delivered a first down pass to Amara Darboh while taking a big hit. On the next play, Chris Evans took a handoff for a 10-yard run and Speight followed that up by eluding the rush and finding Darboh 43 yards downfield to the MSU 7.

Geiger hits career long field goal

Michael Geiger drilled a career best 52-yard field goal to pull the Spartans a little closer to Michigan.
