A former Michigan State University field hockey player was raped and impregnated by Larry Nassar in 1992 and brushed off by then-athletic director George Perles and university police when she attempted to report the assault, a new lawsuit alleges.
According to the lawsuit, plaintiff Erika Davis of California is one of earliest victims of Nassar, who was a 29-year-old student at MSU's College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1992.
Davis also is the first person to allege that she told a MSU administrator about Nassar before 1997, when two gymnasts allegedly voiced concerns to Kathie Klages, then MSU gymnastics coach.
