LANSING, MI - The Lansing Lugnuts will do their part to honor Mike Sadler this season.
The Class-A baseball team has announced that it will honor the former Michigan State punter with a Mike Sadler Night at Cooley Law School Stadium in Lansing on Thursday, May 3. The Lugnuts host the Kane County Cougars at 7:05 p.m.
Sadler, a four-year starter for Michigan State from 2011 to 2014, was tragically killed in a single-car crash while returning home from a kicking camp in Wisconsin in July 2016. Mike Sadler Night will honor his memory.
"We are proud to partner with the Michael Sadler Foundation and Michigan State University, coming together on a special night to remember a special man," said Lugnuts team president Nick Grueser.
