EAST LANSING -- Darien Clemons has had plenty to concern himself with this fall: finishing up his high school career, rehabbing his knee and helping Michigan State wrap up its 2017 recruiting class.
What he hasn't had to do is worry about reopening his own recruitment and finding another place to play college football.
In the second game of his senior season at Piqua High School in Ohio, Clemons was tasked with running a sweep play as his team's running back. When he planted to turn upfield, he heard a pop in his knee. His ACL was torn, and his high school career was over.
