LANSING, MI - Former Michigan State University gymnastics coach Kathie Klages allegedly lied in a police interview about a 1997 incident in which two teenagers told her they were abused by Larry Nassar, according to a court document.
Klages arraigned on charges of lying to a peace officer in Nassar investigation
To obtain a warrant, officers must justify it to a judge or magistrate in a process Ingham County courts call a swear-to. In a transcript of that, Special Agent David Dwyre of the Michigan Attorney General's Office described the basis for the warrant.
Two witnesses interviewed by the Michigan Department of the Attorney General described telling Klages they had been sexually assaulted by Nassar in 1997 while participating in the Spartan Youth Gymnastic Program.
