With starters Cody White and Darrell Stewart Jr. out due to injury, Michigan State's wide receiver depth was tested again and Nelson responded with the biggest game of his young career. The sophomore posted career highs with five receptions for 60 yards, including two catches for 32 yards on the game-winning drive late in the fourth quarter.
