Instead, the two delivered bombshell news to Mel Tucker’s program: They’re both entering the NCAA transfer portal.
Coleman, the Free Press confirmed, followed his quarterback’s lead Sunday, the final day for college football players to enter the portal this spring. Coleman, a 6-foot-4, 215-pound junior wide receiver from Opelousas, Louisiana, has two seasons of eligibility remaining.

With Jayden Reed banged up early last season, Coleman put together a breakout sophomore season with Thorne, leading the Spartans with 58 catches, 798 receiving yards and seven touchdowns while starting all 12 games.
