EAST LANSING – Michigan State football is losing another player, the eighth underclassman to leave the Spartans since last season’s final game.
Safety Kenney Lyke, who played as a true freshman last season, told the Free Press via text message that he plans to leave MSU and transfer to Mississippi Delta Community College.
ESPN first reported Lyke’s decision.
It is the second straight day the Spartans lost a player. An MSU spokesman confirmed Friday that third-year sophomore cornerback/wide receiver Kaleel Gaines had left the program, and he reportedly plans to enroll at Arizona Western Junior College.
