A Michigan Court of Claims judge has ordered Michigan State University to turn over to the Detroit Free Press agreements between the university and two of its largest donors. The judge gave MSU 10 days to turn over the records.
MSU spokesman Daniel Olson said Tuesday the university was reviewing the court's ruling "to determine appropriate next steps and comply."
The court rightfully found that the records were public, Free Press lawyer Herschel Fink said.
"MSU's refusal to release the records was baseless, as the court found," he said. "It was a totally frivolous argument as the court found.
