Michigan State fans never really got to see everything that Joel Heath’s big-bodied, physical self could bring to the table. He did play extensively over his final two seasons in East Lansing, but the defensive line was so deep that he was subbing in and out on a regular basis.

Heath has signed with the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent, joining former teammates Keith Mumphery, Kurtis Drummond and Max Bullough. He was one of three Spartans invited to the NFL Combine to go undrafted.
