In the spring of 1987, Jason Muzzatti had just turned 17-years old and was a senior in high school in Toronto.
He was a very good student and pretty good goaltender at prestigious St. Michaels College School, and two top college programs were showing great interest - Michigan State and Harvard.
"I wasn't heavily recruited and part of it was because I was younger. I had just turned 17 (in February),'' said Muzzatti, who skipped a grade in grade school. "Everything happened late that year.''
The Harvard admittance process was slow, and it wasn't until mid-March that Muzzatti visited Michigan State.
