After a promising rookie season in Memphis, former Spartan Jaren Jackson was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team on Tuesday.
The young Memphis star put up a solid clip of 13.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game. With a 50.6 field goal percentage and hitting threes at a 35.9 percent rate, Jackson made his presence felt in year one.
Jackson joins Atlanta’s Trae Young, Dallas’ Luka Doncic, Phoenix’s Deandre Ayton and Sacramento’s Marvin Bagley III on the First Team.
While fellow Spartan rookie Miles Bridges did not make either All-Rookie teams, he did receive one vote for First Team honors and four votes for Second Team.
