Detroit — Twenty times Michigan State and Oakland have squared off, and 20 times the Spartans have come away with a victory.
The latest edition of the nearly annual meeting took place Tuesday night at Little Caesars Arena, and No. 11 Michigan State did what it always does in the series, picking apart Oakland's difficult zone defense with a balanced offensive attack on its way to a 90-78 victory in front of a pro-MSU crowd of 16,837 for Oakland's "home" game.
And even though the Spartans remained perfect against the Golden Grizzlies, don't try and convince Tom Izzo that it was anything less than a big win for his team.
