COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Connor Heyward decided to make a change.
For the first time in about eight years, the Michigan State sophomore running back decided to cut his hair short this week.
The result was a new look - not necessarily younger or older, just different. It also coincided with a career-best game as Heyward helped lead Michigan State's breakout rushing performance in a 24-3 win at Maryland on Saturday.
"Everybody says it's the haircut, but I like my hair so I'm definitely growing it back," Heyward said with a laugh.
Heyward rushed for a career-high 157 yards and two touchdowns while tying a career high with 15 carries.
