EAST LANSING - Asked early last year about the prospect of Michigan and Michigan State playing a night football game, Spartans athletic director Mark Hollis gave a version of an answer he's given often to this question over the years.
"Based on past behavior, I would be concerned," Hollis said.
He talked about the increased amount of drinking that would happen at a prolonged tailgate session. He remembered a high number of bottles being thrown and bad behavior when the Spartans hosted Ohio State at night in 2014.
To those who follow Michigan State closely, these were familiar topics.
