Not that Rocky Lombardi doesn’t have time to call his mother. He even spent a few unexpected months at home this summer, during the coronavirus shutdown, that she cherished.
No, she misses the blond-haired teen’s time in choir, with singing good enough to land him solos as a junior-high student.
“Rocky will never admit it, but he actually has a very good singing voice, but he just never really pursued that. … When he got to high school, he kind of put that on the back burner and didn't do that anymore,” Kari Lombardi said by phone from Iowa on on Wednesday, then chuckled.
