EVANSTON, Ill. — Thomas Kithier set the screen and rolled to the basket. Aaron Henry bounced a pass to him as he cut.
Kithier caught the ball and elevated toward the rim. The Michigan State basketball sophomore collided midair with Northwestern’s Robbie Beran, flipped the ball off the backboard and fell to the floor.
The Wildcats’ Miller Kopp rebounded, then quickly whipped an outlet pass to Beran, who took two dribbles and zipped a perfect chest pass to Pete Nance running the floor in transition. Two long strides, and Nance threw down a left-handed dunk over Henry to finish the break.
