EAST LANSING — Asked about what he felt his future at Michigan State football might hold, Kenny Willekes could not give a definitive answer.
“I really don’t know. I’m just gonna keep working every day hopefully get a shot next year,” he said. “Just keep working wherever the team needs me, wherever I can help out.”
That was almost three years ago, on the field at AT&T Stadium outside of Dallas, just before the Spartans faced Alabama in the College Football Playoff.
