While Michigan State freshmen were on campus for a mini-camp last week, the NCAA announced a rule change that grabbed their attention.
Division I football players can now appear in up to four games in a season while still maintaining a redshirt. Although this rule applies to everyone eligible, it will likely affect true freshmen the most.
"I was happy that it passed, especially my freshman year," said Parks Gissinger, a three-star defensive end from California who signed with Michigan State's 2018 class.
