INDIANAPOLIS — In an age when college players are increasingly skipping bowl games in order to save themselves for the NFL, former Michigan State running back LJ Scott had a different, more complex decision to make.
Scott said Thursday at the NFL combine he was healthy enough to play in MSU’s late-season loss to Ohio State (and presumably the two regular-season games that followed) but coaches empowered him to determine his own playing status while looking ahead to 2019.
