EAST LANSING -- Conner George, a senior guard for Okemos, has committed to Michigan State as a preferred walk-on, according to his Twitter account.
He told the Lansing State Journal that he had interest from Division II and Division III schools before choosing the Spartans.
George, the son of Michigan State volleyball coach Cathy George, averaged 23 points and 10.6 rebounds as a senior for the Chieftans. He earned Class A All-State honors.
This is the second straight year Michigan State has taken a preferred walk-on. Last year, the Spartans took Kenny Goins, a forward from Waterford Mott.
