Hey Joe: MSU with a gasp of B1G breath? (plus, mailbag)

So maybe five-loss Michigan State isn't completely out of the Big Ten race? Penn State's home upset tonight of suddenly-struggling Iowa gives the Hawkeyes three league losses, tied with Indiana and Maryland. Here are their remaining schedules:

•Iowa: Wisconsin, at Ohio State, Indiana, at Michigan.

•Maryland: Michigan, at Purdue, Illinois, at Indiana.

•Indiana: Purdue, at Illinois, at Iowa, Maryland.

It remains improbable. But MSU (and U-M, Purdue and Ohio State) at least still have a shot at a share if everything breaks exactly their way. Now to the mailbag:
