EAST LANSING — Six snaps over three games as a true freshman whet Elijah Collins’ appetite last fall.
His two carries for 8 yards in the regular-season finale against Rutgers became the Michigan State running back’s baptism to what he hopes is his future.
“Even though I got a couple snaps, it was just big for me,” Collins said Monday. “I was working so hard. Just to get those couple plays in there was everything.
