East Lansing — The idea of getting everyone’s best shot isn’t new to Michigan State.
It’s been brought to the forefront the last couple weeks in victories over Air Force and Central Michigan that might not have been as impressive as some would have hoped.
But the Spartans have been in this spot the last couple years, and this week’s opponent knows all about it.
Purdue has won five games the last two-plus seasons under Darrell Hazell, but played Michigan State tough in a 14-0 loss in 2013 and was within a touchdown of the Spartans in the fourth quarter last season before a late pick-six by linebacker Darien Harris sealed a 45-31 victory for Michigan State.
