Breslin Center opened its doors to the ruckus Izzone crowd, as MSU started their exhibition season Wednesday against the Northern Michigan Wildcats, and lead at halftime 38-33.
The Spartans jumped out to an early 9-0 run, but the Wildcats trimmed the deficit to only two with 12 minutes left in the first half. The Spartans have never trailed in the first 20 minutes, but look unimpressive in doing so, only leading Northern Michigan by five.
The Spartans have struggled from the three-point line, shooting a mere 23 percent from behind the arc, despite shooting 44 percent from the field in total.
