Michigan State is rolling past Maryland Eastern Shore in its debut as the top ranked team in the national polls. The Spartans lead the Hawks, 33-16, through 20 minutes Wednesday night at the Breslin Center.
In its second straight game against a mediocre mid-major, the Spartans once again took over early with a dominating first half. After Maryland Eastern Shore kept pace early, the Spartans went on a 19-2 run.
After Maryland Eastern Shore stayed within three points early, Michigan State hit five of its next seven shots, with four 3-pointers.
