The basketball career of senior Gavin Schilling has always been one of unique experience. From picking up the game for the first time in 8th grade, playing internationally, to landing a scholarship to one of the best programs in the country – the journey has been far from ordinary.
The 6’9” power forward finds himself in a unique situation yet again, quite possibly one of the most unanticipated, eye-opening circumstances basketball has brought him thus far.
“This is certainly an unfortunate setback for Gavin, as he had been practicing very well,” said Michigan State Coach Tom Izzo last October.
