It has been widely-known that Michigan State offensive tackle commit Gavin Cupp recently attended Ohio State‘s Friday Night Lights recruiting showcase.

On the surface, this seemed harmless due to the fact other Spartan commits have camped at schools such as Abdul Adams at Alabama and Demetric Vance had recently taken trips to Tennessee and Florida. Immediately rumors started flying that Cupp attended without Dantonio’s permission, and as a result he lost his scholarship.
Mike Wilson reportedly confirmed this rumor on 247Sports‘ Spartan Tailgate.
