The Michigan State Spartans (9-7, 3-7 in Big Ten play) host the Penn State Nittany Lions (7-8, 4-7) in what is essentially a must-win game for Michigan State if the Spartans want to stay alive for an NCAA Tournament bid. While Penn State’s record is somewhat lackluster, the team has played better than its record may indicate. Similar to Michigan State, Penn State had its own COVID-related issues, but has since seemed to find its footing, winning four of the last six games.
