Cassius Peat’s road back to East Lansing has been blocked.
Peat told the Free Press this afternoon that he was told by coaches Wednesday that he should not come back to Michigan State.
“Morally, I didn’t think it was right,” Peat said. “Four days before I was supposed to report, they just blindsided me and said I couldn’t come.”
The defensive lineman told the Free Press on March 2 he planned to re-enroll at MSU this summer and rejoin the Spartans. He left the Spartans shortly before the start of the 2016 season.
Now, he said, he is exploring options at other Big Ten and Pac-12 schools and plans to take some visits.
