Fourth Michigan State football player investigated in separate case

EAST LANSING -- A fourth Michigan State football player is under investigation for criminal sexual misconduct.

Scott Hughes, a spokesman for the Ingham County Prosecutors' Office, said the ongoing investigation is into the unidentified football player’s role in an alleged incident in Meridian Township, which is adjacent to East Lansing.

No charges have been recommended to prosecutors, and the case has not yet been filed in court, Hughes said.

Hughes also said that the incident is separate from the ongoing investigation into three MSU players about an alleged sexual assault that occurred in the early morning hours of Jan.
