Former Spartan great Kirk Gibson diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease

Former Michigan State two-sport star Kirk Gibson has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, according to multiple sources on Tuesday.

After spending a few seasons as the manager of the Arizona Diamondbacks, Gibson found a new way to share his love of baseball: broadcasting. The new Detroit Tigers‘ color analyst was set to spend the season sitting in the booth, broadcasting for Fox Sports Detroit with Rod Allen and Mario Impemba, but he had been absent since the first week of the season.
