Former MSU basketball point guard Keith Appling as was arrested Tuesday night in Detroit, marking the third time he has been arrested in four months.
According to WWJ reports, the Detroit native was pulled over around 9 p.m. by police for failing to signal while driving. The minor violation however mounted into Appling, according to police, fleeing the scene in his vehicle and throwing a weapon from the car.
According to The Detroit News, officers detected the smell of marijuana coming from Appling's car. Appling fled the scene shortly after the officers requested to see Appling's license.
