WASHINGTON — It didn’t take long for Kalin Lucas to make an impression.
Three nights after signing a two-way contract with the Detroit Pistons, Lucas scored 27 points for franchise’s Gatorade League affiliate in Grand Rapids.
The former Michigan State and Orchard Lake St. Mary’s standout was efficient, shooting 11-for-16 from the field, in leading the Grand Rapids Drive to victory on Friday.
The performance may have played a role in what came next — an appearance with the big club.
