Former Michigan State University dean William Strampel used the premise of clinical medical examinations for sexual gratification, prosecutors claim in a new motion.
The motion, filed this week in 54-B District Court in East Lansing, referenced testimony of two witnesses, referred to as W-1 and W-2, who said Strampel recruited them to work as clinical skills models for the College of Osteopathic Medicine and made sexually explicit comments.
"Much like the pretext of Larry Nassar, Dean Strampel acted with the cover of legitimacy of a medical procedure," the motion states. "But his real intent was laid bare by his predatory comments.
