Former Michigan State forward Zach Randolph was arrested on Wednesday night in Los Angeles on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sale, according to multiple reports.
Randolph's agent and lawyer, Raymond Brothers, told ESPN that the charges are false and misleading.
ESPN reports that Los Angeles Police Department officers came across a large group of people playing loud music and smoking marijuana during a routine patrol in a housing project in the Watts neighborhood on Wednesday night.
When officers tried to disperse the crowd, a disturbance began that led to five LAPD vehicles and one sheriff's vehicle being damaged.
