The Houston Texans cut wide receiver Keith Mumphery today, two days after a Free Press report revealed he had been expelled and banned from Michigan State’s campus for violating university policy on relationship violence and sexual misconduct.
The Texans also cut former MSU linebacker Max Bullough, who was suspended by the NFL last month for four games for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs.
The Houston Chronicle reported the transactions.
Mumphery was accused of sexually assaulting a student in her MSU dorm room on March 17, 2015, the day before his pro day workouts on campus for NFL personnel.
