Matt Costello reached the highest level of professional basketball in 2018, and now the former Michigan State star will head overseas.
Costello has signed a contract with an Italian basketball team, Scandone Avellino, according to a Thursday report from Sportando.
Costello, a Bay City native, finished his Michigan State career in 2016 and spent his first two professional seasons playing primarily in the NBA G-League. Last season, he was on a two-way contract with the San Antonio Spurs, where he spent most of his season helping the team's G-League affiliate, the Austin Spurs, to a league title.
