Former Michigan State blocked-shots leader still loves baseball, too

MUSKEGON, MI - Long before Drew Naymick grew to be a 6-foot-10, 250-pound basketball player, he used to waddle around as a youngster, carrying a plastic baseball and plastic bat and hitting off a tee.

While the former Michigan State shot-blocks leader and North Muskegon native is known for basketball, his other passion was baseball.

"Obviously, I loved to hoop and I love to compete to this day, but I remember dad got the little tee with the plastic ball and little plastic bat when I was real, real young, like 3 or 4 years old," Naymick recalled.
