We’ve heard it from all around the country by now. Michigan State didn’t deserve to make the Cotton Bowl and were the worst representation for the Big Ten. Heck, half of the conference’s teams could have given a better performance, right? The fact of the matter is that’s far from true.
Michigan State deserved to be in the Cotton Bowl, but one bad half of football shouldn’t define an entire season or how good a team really is. especially a Spartans team that won four games against top-15 opponents and had 12 victories heading into the College Football Playoff with just one loss.
