Forest Hills Northern High School plans to retire Mike Sadler's No. 3 football jersey during halftime of Friday's home game against Northview.
Sadler, a 2010 FHN graduate who went on to play at Michigan State University, was killed in a car accident on July 23, 2016, in Wisconsin while mentoring youths at a kicking camp.
The Huskies will be wearing a special jersey custom designed by Sports Addix.
"The Addix Great American Give Back has been one of the proudest moments of our company," Noel Dean, chief sales officer said in a statement. "To be a partner with the Michael Sadler Foundation and to honor him as his number is being retired by his former high school is a very humbling experience for everybody here at our company.
