Flint native Terry Armstrong to play college basketball at Arizona

FLINT, MI -- Flint native Terry Armstrong will be playing college basketball close to his adopted hometown of the past two years.

Armstrong announced on Twitter that he has accepted a scholarship to play for Arizona. Other schools that were courting the 6-foot-6, 185-pound Armstrong included Michigan State, Florida State, Mississippi State and Oklahoma.

Armstrong has spent the last two years at Bella Vista Prep in Arizona after beginning his high school basketball career at Flint Carman-Ainsworth.

He is ranked as the No.5 shooting guard in the country by 247sports.com.

The four-star recruit said the Arizona coaching staff is one of the big reasons he picked the Wildcats.
