Five-star OL Devontae Dobbs commits to MSU as Spartans' highest rated recruit since 2000

Michigan State has landed a massive recruit, literally and figuratively.

Devontae Dobbs, a five-star offensive lineman from Belleville, announced his verbal commitment to the Spartans on Monday night.

With no hat ceremony or other sort of fanfare, Dobbs' abrupt announcement gave Michigan State its biggest win on the recruiting trail in the Mark Dantonio era.

Dobbs is currently rated the No. 13 player in the country in the 247sports composite. He's the second-highest ranked player in Michigan and the third-highest ranked offensive tackle in the country.

His ranking makes him the highest-rated Michigan State recruit since Charles Rogers in 2000.
